ABOUT THE CAMP
A Free Cancer Screening Camp was organized on Sunday, 19th July 2026, immediately after the Holy Mass at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Annunciation, Malviya Nagar.
The camp was conducted by the Specialized Oncology Team from S.R. Durlabhji Hospital at the initiative of our Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Melwin D'Souza, with the support of Ass

The camp was conducted by the Specialized Oncology Team from S.R. Durlabhji Hospital at the initiative of our Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Melwin D'Souza, with the support of Associate Parish Priest Fr. Siby Mathew and the Principal of St. Anselm's Pink City Senior Secondary School, Rev. Fr. Paulachan Pullikal.
The programme began with the registration of participants and the recording of their vital signs. This was followed by consultations with specialist doctors. Based on individual assessments, beneficiaries were advised to undergo further investigations such as blood tests, X-rays, and mammography. All consultations and recommended tests w
The programme began with the registration of participants and the recording of their vital signs. This was followed by consultations with specialist doctors. Based on individual assessments, beneficiaries were advised to undergo further investigations such as blood tests, X-rays, and mammography. All consultations and recommended tests were provided free of cost. We are grateful that many of our parishioners, both men and women, came forward and availed themselves of this valuable opportunity. A total of 80 registrations were completed by the end of the camp.
We express our heartfelt gratitude to Rev. Fr. Melwin D'Souza for his vision and genuine concern for the health and well-being of our parish community. Special thanks to Mr. John Varghese for coordinating the entire programme, and to Mr. Bobby Joseph, Mr. Terrence Singh, Mr. Joji Jacob, and all the parish volunteers and church members whose dedicated service and support ensured the smooth conduct of the camp.

ABOUT THE PICNIC
The Youth of the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Annunciation, Malviya Nagar, organized a joyful one-day picnic to Swapan Lok Resort on 12th July 2026. Following the Sunday Holy Mass, the group departed together by an air-conditioned bus, filled with enthusiasm and the spirit of fellowship.

The outing was led by our Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Melwin D'Souza, and Rev. Fr. Siby Mathew, along with our dedicated youth animators, Mrs. Sunita Peter and Mr. Joji Jacob. A total of 34 youth members participated in the picnic. Upon reaching the resort, the participants received a warm welcome with refreshing drinks, followed by a light breakfast. The day was packed with exciting activities, including swimming, adventure games, and various recreational events that encouraged teamwork, friendship, and joyful participation. A delicious lunch was served in the afternoon, after which everyone enjoyed an entertaining magic show. The celebrations continued with lively music, dancing, and many memorable group photographs, making the day even more special. More than just a recreational outing, the picnic provided a valuable opportunity for the youth to strengthen their bonds of friendship, grow in community spirit, and experience the joy of Christian fellowship. It was a day filled with fun, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

In his inspiring homily, Fr. Melwin reflected on the important vocation of the laity in the life and mission of the Church. He encouraged all the faithful, especially the catechism teachers and animators, to remain steadfast in their commitment to proclaim the Gospel and to serve Christ with faith, dedication, and love.
Following the homily, a special prayer of blessing was offered for all the Catechism Teachers and the Animators of the various parish associations as they dedicated themselves to another year of faith formation and ministry. At the conclusion of the Holy Mass, the parish warmly welcomed Sr. Rakhi, FSMA, and Sr. Rani, MSI, who will assist in the parish catechism ministry. As a symbol of prayer, unity, and commitment to their mission, rosaries were presented to all the Catechism Teachers and Animators.
The celebration concluded on a joyful and hopeful note, inspiring everyone to continue nurturing young hearts in the Catholic faith and serving the Church with renewed zeal under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
